Four-Legged Wedding Guests

14 Jan

Dog lovers everywhere will agree—pets aren’t just animals, they’re part of the family! Lots of brides and grooms like to include their favorite four-leggers in their big day, especially if the dog is the first addition to the couple’s growing family.

While your pup probably wouldn’t plan the best bachelorette party, and won’t give you much feedback on which dress to pick, there are still ways to incorporate your pet into the bridal party. These pictures from Faye & Greer and KT Merry Photography show how flowers can be used to tie your dog’s look into the wedding. Pick a flower wreath that matches the bouquets the bridesmaids will be wearing. Pair that with a matching leash and have your Maid of Honor walk the Pup of Honor down the aisle!

You can also opt to give your dog a responsibility on the big day—ring bearer! These ring pillows from Pet Occasion and Etsy vendor reggieana are made especially for dogs and are priced at under $20.

Watch it come together like in this picture from Wedding Wire—absolutely adorable!

If you’re a fan of dogs in human clothes (I know there are a bunch of you out there!) then look no further than Doggie Clothesline. You can find doggie hair bows, bow ties, cuff links, ties, and even “always a bridesmaid” doggie t-shirts to match any wedding theme or bridesmaid dress.

What do you think? Would you incorporate your favorite four-legged friend in your wedding? We know at least Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz would!
